Utah State Fairgrounds

We are thrilled to announce that this years Night of the Running Dead 5k will be held at the UTAH STATE FAIRPARK! We have looked at a lot of different locations for this years race and though we loved This is the Place Heritage Park last year, we were not confident that it could contain the Zombie Madness that we'll be unleashing upon the Salt Lake Valley this October!

We want to send a special thank you to Shotgun Jackson, The Outlaw Pat Garrett and all the rest of the crew at K-Bull 93! We were there talking about our race with them and handing over a giant check to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation representing the money we donated to them from our 2010 Night of the Running Dead 5K.

Our inaugural race in 2010 was extremely successful. We had hoped to draw over 500 participants and ended up with over 1,300 people in attendance. We raised $5,050 for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation. A post race survey of over 200 participants indicated that 98% of people attending in 2010 would “definitely return” for 2011. This success is unprecedented for an inaugural 5K race. The only thing we missed last year was more terrific sponsors!

Wow.

What an event. We hope you feel as we did, for our first year, that it was a success. Even with limited sponsors, we reached our goal to raise over $5,000 for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation. We could not have done this, at all, without you. We want to express our gratitude to all of you who helped make this happen.
